Le Labo Another 13 stays closer to the skin. It lasts six to eight hours, but the sillage is moderate, about an arm's length for the first hour, then it becomes a personal scent bubble. It's intimate, meant to be discovered, not announced. I find it lasts longer on fabrics (coats, scarves) where it can linger for days.

YSL Black Opium is undeniably a cold-weather fragrance: fall and winter nights, parties, date nights, and clubbing. It's too heavy for summer unless you wear it sparingly. It feels glamorous and slightly rebellious, think leather jackets and red lipstick.
Another 13 is seasonless. I wear it year-round, but it truly shines in spring and fall.
